Emmanuel Educare

Emmanuel Educare, supported by the Western Cape Department of Education, is a registered pre-school, run under the auspices of Westlake United Church Trust, for children aged from 3 to 6 years.  The current enrolment is 180 learners.

Mrs Hazel Albertus, a Grade R teacher, is also the Principal of the pre-school.  Hazel has many years of experience and follows in the footsteps of Mrs Eleanor Lawrence who was the Principal of the pre-school from 2002 to 2016. Hazel is assisted by Monique Smit, Amezil Daniels, Grechen Williams, Zondrea September and Carlene Michaels, who are trained teachers. They are aided by Shirley Sylvester, Dolly Susane, Esethu Dletshwa, Vuyokazi Jan, Nolwethu Ladi and Ntomozuko Wiso, who are the teachers’ assistants. Maria, Anna, Dorinda and Dorothty run the kitchen and prepare breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea for the children. Our caretaker, Japie, is a highly valued member of the team, and we also have a part-time administrative assistant.

The preschool is open from 07h00 to 15h00, Monday to Friday, and provides 3 healthy meals each day.  After-care is also available until 17h00.
