The Emmanuel Educare Centre is a registered Early Child Development Centre operating under the auspices of WUCT and supported by the Western Cape Department of Education. There are 180 learners accommodated in 6 classrooms, with a teacher and an assistant.

The school feeds 60 Grade 1 learners into Westlake Primary school each year. The high quality of the education is widely recognised in the area.

Each child receives 2 healthy, balanced meals a day and they are encouraged to play in the outdoor playground to help strengthen and develop motor skills.

Our newly-appointed Principal, Monique Smit, has been a teacher at the school for several years and coordinates activities, educational plans and the feeding scheme with ease.

The kitchen is staffed with 3 Westlake community members. They work with nutritionists and food preparation consultants to ensure that meals are balanced, healthy and packed with goodness and taste. On special occasions, they also treat staff and visitors with a pancake or two.
